Privacy policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

This privacy policy explains what AstroVeda collects, why it is collected, how it is used, how payment and technical providers fit into the service, and what choices users have regarding personal data, saved profiles, and astrology-related records.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the AstroVeda website, application pages, chart generation tools, saved profile features, subscription workflows, customer support communications, and checkout-related data handled for AstroVeda.

AstroVeda is a digital astrology service. Because the product works with birth details and derived chart outputs, some records handled by the system may be personally sensitive even when they are not regulated as special-category data in every jurisdiction.

2. Data categories we may collect

AstroVeda may collect account identity details such as first name, last name, email address, account ID, subscription state, plan code, plan price, renewal or expiry dates, and payment reference identifiers.

AstroVeda may also collect chart input data, including a person’s name, birth date, birth time, birth time confidence, birth location text, timezone, latitude, and longitude.

When charts are generated, the service may store raw chart packets, normalized placements, houses, aspects, dashas, yogas, compiled facts, saved interpretations, and debugging metadata required to reproduce or inspect results later.

Operational data such as browser requests, consent state, limited server logs, API request identifiers, support notes, and payment confirmation messages may also be processed for service integrity, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and customer support.

3. Why we use personal data

We use account details to create user accounts, authenticate access, maintain plan limits, support upgrades or downgrades, and provide a coherent saved workspace across dashboard, people, chart, compatibility, and subscription pages.

We use birth data and derived chart records to calculate astrology output, save chart history, generate compatibility results, produce normalized chart facts, select relevant interpretation blocks, and support later report generation.

We use transaction and payment metadata to create pending subscriptions, confirm successful payments, handle pending wire transfers, investigate failed payment flows, and maintain a record of subscription activation or cancellation history.

We use technical and log data to diagnose failures, secure the service, investigate misuse, monitor API behavior, and improve system accuracy and operational stability.

4. Legal basis and service purpose

Where applicable, AstroVeda processes data to provide the service requested by the user, to operate a subscription account, to perform a requested chart or compatibility calculation, to maintain legitimate service security and fraud controls, and to comply with accounting or payment record obligations.

If optional analytics or marketing tools are introduced in a later phase, this page should be updated before those tools are enabled.

5. Payment and third-party processors

AstroVeda uses external payment and gateway infrastructure to process paid subscriptions. Payment handoff and confirmation currently involve provider flows and infrastructure routed through `idz.si/av` and the selected payment provider.

Depending on the payment method, those systems may process payment amount, subscription reference, account email, payer name, country, transaction status, gateway callback tokens, provider transaction IDs, and related accounting metadata needed to complete the purchase.

AstroVeda does not need to store full card details in its own application database to complete a normal subscription purchase flow.

6. Cookies, local storage, and similar mechanisms

AstroVeda currently uses a minimal storage approach. In this phase, the site uses essential local storage or equivalent browser state for cookie notice acknowledgement and may use essential session continuity required for account or checkout behavior.

Marketing trackers and advertising cookies are not part of the current foundation release. If optional analytics or preference cookies are added later, their categories and purpose should be documented before activation.

7. Saved people and third-party birth data

Users may store profile data for themselves and for other people. If you enter another person’s birth details into AstroVeda, you are responsible for having a lawful basis or adequate permission to do so.

AstroVeda is not intended as a covert profiling tool. Do not use it to upload or distribute private personal data in violation of applicable law, confidence, or consent expectations.

8. Data retention

Account data, saved people, saved charts, subscription records, and support notes may be retained for as long as the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for billing, fraud review, service restoration, legal compliance, or support history.

Some technical logs may be retained for shorter operational periods. Some financial or accounting records may be retained for longer periods where required by applicable law or bookkeeping standards.

9. Security and access controls

AstroVeda uses environment-based configuration, password hashing, server-side API handling, and database-backed access controls in an effort to limit unauthorized access. No internet-facing service can guarantee absolute security, and users should avoid sharing login credentials or storing highly sensitive notes in free-form fields unless necessary.

10. International access

AstroVeda is available to users in multiple regions. Depending on hosting, payment routing, or support workflow, data may be processed on infrastructure outside the user’s home jurisdiction.

11. User rights and requests

Subject to applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, or export of data associated with their account. Users may also request account closure, although some payment or accounting records may need to be retained separately.

Where birth data for another person has been stored, deletion or correction requests may require enough detail to identify the correct saved profile.

12. Children and age limits

AstroVeda is intended for adult users or for use under appropriate adult responsibility. Do not use the service in a way that violates age-related digital consent rules in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the product grows, especially when new analytics tools, AI-assisted report workflows, subscription handling, export features, or additional integrations are introduced. The latest version published on the site controls current use of the service.

14. Contact for privacy matters

For privacy, deletion, correction, or account-data questions, use the contact path shown in live billing or service communications. Include the relevant account email and, where applicable, the subscription or support reference so the request can be matched to the correct records.
